The El Teide peak overlooks Puerto de la Cruz where I attended the WSEAS conference last weekend. It is a volcano and 3,700 metres high making it higher than any mountains in continental Spain. I got up fairily near the top last Monday. Spectacular view but very, very cold (wind chill 17 degrees below zero).
